If you would like to be a part of the Offering Counting ministry, please call Sue Gearica at 847-336-1401. You and your counting partner will prepare the deposit for the bank on a 5-week rotating schedule. Counting is done either during or after the 10:30 service. Substitutes are always available, as well as a good cup of coffee. We are also looking for a volunteer to coordinate this ministry, sending out reminder emails and setting up the schedule.
The Adult Discipleship team is excited to invite you to join us for an 11 week discipleship class. It will be held Sundays from 9-10:15 am running Aug. 8 - Oct. 24. No class over Labor Day. We are using the book Good and Beautiful God which leads us through some soul training exercises and strengthens our love for God. Altar Team: Do you have a sewing machine? We are looking for volunteers to sew altar cloths at various times during the year. If interested, please contact Laura Kline at 847-247-1886 or laura.kline@joylutheran.org.
C.O.O.L. Food Pantry items for collection on July 25: peanut butter and jelly. In August we will collect canned fruit and vegetables and cereal in September (collecting on fourth Sunday each month). Thank you in advance for your generous donations.
Women of Faith: The annual Women of Faith conference is coming to Milwaukee on October 1-2. The cost for the 2 day conference is $89, including lunch. Registration deadline is July 25. For more info, contact Jennifer Marvin at jrmarvin@juno.com.
Summer KAK has started and is being offered for children ages 3 - 6 during the 10:30 worship service. Registration forms are available at the Info Center.
27 high school students, along with 6 leaders, returned from Never the Same camp in New York. This morning in worship we will hear testemonies from some of the students.
