Joy
is a faith community where you can discover God's
incredible love for you again, or for the first
time. We offer a safe place, where your questions
and doubts are as welcome as you are.
It's
a caring place where you can share your hurts, as
well as your hopes and dreams. It's a fun place
to meet new friends. . .a casual place where you
can come as you are and dress as you like.
Joy provides a warm, inviting atmosphere
for worship. We offer services in both the traditional
and contemporary style formats. Attend worship on
Sunday morning at 8, 9:30 or 11. We offer full
nursery care during service for all of our three
Sunday morning worship services.
You'll hear practical "no snooze"
messages designed to grow your faith and inspire
you. Our church home is open to all. We hope you'll
enjoy the music and feel the Spirit.
Our
Mission is to be a joy-filled, Christ-centered community that is passionate about reaching our neighbors with Christ's radical love so that all our lives are changed!
This statement was recently developed through strategic planning sessions to guide us into the future. Our mission is simply the core purpose of our organization, decribing why we exist and what we do.

Lutheran Church is a ministry of the Evangelical Lutheran
Church in America (ELCA). The ELCA includes nearly
5.3 million Lutherans in 11,000 congregations around the country.
The
ELCA is the most "mainline" of the Lutheran bodies in the
United States. By that we mean that we have great diversity
of opinion within the denomination on a variety of religious
and social issues. |
|
The
ELCA does not dictate what we are to believe on many issues. It
encourages people to study the Bible and discuss issues with other
Christians in order to form our own conclusions. There's no need
to check your brain at the door of an ELCA church!
